OSF HealthCare and Advanced Women’s Healthcare in Bloomington are collaborating to provide enhanced obstetrics care to women in the Champaign-Urbana, Decatur-Forsyth, and Lincoln areas.
Expanding Services
At OSF HealthCare Heart of Mary Medical Center in Urbana, a group of OB/GYNs and certified nurse midwives from Advanced Women’s Healthcare will provide care for women’s health needs. They’ll offer check-ups for women, care during pregnancy, and help after giving birth. Dr. Dele Ogunleye and nurse Brittany King will start, and more nurse midwives will join later.
New Clinics
Other clinics with Advanced Women’s Healthcare staff will open in Forsyth and Lincoln soon, providing care for women in those areas.
Taking Care of Patients
This partnership fits with OSF’s mission to give excellent, caring treatment. They’ll provide services like check-ups for women, care before and after having a baby, treatment for pelvic floor problems, and other women’s health care.
Special Care from Midwives
Dr. Ogunleye says that having midwives on the team means patients get more personal care. The clinic hopes to help with the shortage of doctors who care for women by giving thorough care and building trust with patients.
Start Date
The expanded clinic in Champaign-Urbana will open on February 12. They’ll be open from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
