Empowering Portland Healthcare Workforce

Made possible by a $3-million, three-year grant from the state’s Future Ready Oregon program, administered by the Higher Education Coordinating Commission, the Building Bridges to Health Care Careers program aims to address critical shortages in healthcare professionals while fostering inclusivity and equity in the industry.

Forging Partnerships for Progress

This visionary program is the result of a collaborative partnership between AFSCME Local 328, Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), United We Heal, and Unite Oregon. Financial support will be provided to address social challenges such as transportation, housing, and childcare, ensuring that all students can fully participate. Each participant will also be paired with a mentor to offer guidance and support throughout their educational journey.
