When Louisiana Tech University learned of the closure of the local clinic, it saw an opportunity to step up. Driven by a commitment to student and community welfare, the decision was made to reopen the clinic doors. CEO Kathy Hall of the Northern Louisiana Medical Clinic echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of accessible healthcare for all.
Convenience at Your Doorstep
Slightly to the west of the current Lambright Sports and Wellness Center, just opposite the main campus is the new clinic, which has been designed to offer extended hours to serve that location. It stands in the middle to enable both students and local people to approach the facility easily without travelling high distances, hence reduced entry challenges. Nowadays, hospitals, clinics and treatment centers are located within a walking distance from residential complexes.

The gateways of our clinic are open not for the students only, if a person is requiring urgent care, he/she is welcome, too. Each time a person enters those premises they get warmly welcomed and receive the highest service level with the ultimate purpose of assisting the patient to recover.

After its reopening which had been in late November, the activities in the clinic have become nonstop On average, twelve students per day come to those centers. This shows the fact that such services are quite needed and are high in demand. The hospital is not only a medical center; it is a sanctuary that helps to release worries while physicians restore the health.

Operating Monday through Friday from 8:Be it early in the morning or as dawn is breaking, clinic services are delivered then and there, because that is exactly when they are called for. This additional time allows for busy hours adjustment and the provision of medication during the daytime when one cannot find care.
Briefly speaking, the patient swing clinic is not only a medical provider anymore; it has become part of a support system for all. It makes the University proud to offer the service when it’s needed and to be a member of the community, especially in a difficult time as the current one.
